Amy Hammond, Manager of Social Impact Projects, The Reilly Group, Inc.

Amy Hammond has 25 years’ experience as a master storyteller, innovative multimedia journalist, and expert in marketing and branding. Amy is especially gifted in breaking down complex ideas into digestible, compelling content. 

Amy is also an expert project manager - creating and implementing efficient, streamlined practices and bringing the unique ability to quickly multitask and strategically prioritize, a skill honed during high-stress, deadline-driven projects.

In addition, for more than three decades, Amy has served as an excellent facilitator bringing communities together including government and nonprofit organizations, and families, youth, and young adults to advocate for social justice, health equity, and human rights. 

As Manager of Social Impact Projects for The Reilly Group, Amy brings her extensive expertise to support community, state, and national coalitions that aim to turn the tide on the crisis of undiagnosed and untreated mental health conditions in America. In addition, she works on youth campaigns to advance mental health and well-being, foster resiliency, and prevent targeted bullying and violence.  

Prior to joining The Reilly Group, Amy worked as the Manager of Communications and Outreach for SAMU First Response. She also spent nearly a decade with National Public Radio working in a variety of capacities, including with NPR’s Morning Edition. Her award-winning work has been widely published by domestic and international news, non-profit, and educational and cultural organizations, including NPR, Monocle24, PBS Kids, Bittersweet Monthly, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Getty Museum. Amy graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Michigan State University. She lives with her husband and two children in Washington, D.C., along with Hope, their adorable Aussiedoodle.
