Aika is an accomplished strategist specializing in maternal and child health equity, with extensive expertise in public health policy. As a savvy ecosystem navigator, she brings her knowledge in various maternal health areas, such as breastfeeding, risk-appropriate care, maternal and paternal mental health, and maternal mortality review committees, to The Reilly Group as Manager of Policy and Networks. Aika has worked across federal, national, state, local, and community-based landscapes, dedicated to improving health and social outcomes through innovative approaches.
With a wealth of experience providing technical assistance and capacity-building services, Aika has established herself as skilled in cultivating cross-sector collaborations. She is known for her ability to transform complex data into easily accessible and actionable information. Aika is passionate about community building and engagement, leveraging storytelling, junctional thinking, and human-centered design to impact systemically marginalized communities positively.
She holds a Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health from George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Hartford. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Population Health focused on Maternal and Child Health from Lehigh University College of Health.
