Helena Hailemicheal

Policy Associate, The Reilly Group, Inc.

Helena brings a strong foundation in policy analysis, project coordination, and community engagement to her work, with a special commitment to advancing equitable healthcare outcomes, particularly in maternal and child health. She is passionate about creating sustainable, community-centered healthcare solutions that benefit underserved populations. As a co-founder of Safe Start Africa, Helena and her team developed a patent-pending medical device aimed at reducing maternal mortality rates among African women. Her work involved conducting market research, collaborating with stakeholders, and refining the device to meet specific needs in maternal healthcare.

Currently, as a Policy Associate with The Reilly Group, Helena supports the Mind the Gap Initiative by coordinating coalition and policy meetings, managing project timelines, and assisting with communications. 

Helena earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health (MPH) at Boston University’s School of Public Health, with a focus on Health Policy and Law and an added Context Certificate in Maternal and Child Health.
